A Giclee is an art form printed on 100% rag watercolor paper. Giclee reproductions are the result of a painstaking, step-by-step production regimen. The process begins when an original artwork is placed on a scanner. This step can take hours to complete. The computer then blends together the tiny pictures made during scanning and creates a seamless image of the painting. The original image is transferred by computer into printable digital data, not film, therefore there is no loss of resolution or color density.
Every reproduction is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, which states "Great care has been taken to reproduce the artwork to the artist's satisfaction. Each print is individually inspected, numbered and signed by the artist."
